Spurs set price for Harry Kane amidst rumours of a potential switch to Manchester for the 26-year-old
Tottenham Hotspur have slapped a £150 million price tag on Harry Kane amidst rumors linking the 27-year-old to both the Manchester clubs as per Daily Mail. Manchester City have been long-term admirers of the English forward and with the Cityzens needing a striker for the next season, Harry Kane is one of the preferred options for the former Premier League champions.

Rivals Manchester United have got a similar structural issue but they did cover it by signing Edinson Cavani on a short-term deal last summer. With Antony Martial being inconsistent at the head of the attack, the Red Devils are in the market for a striker as well.
Both, the Cityzens and the Red Devils have been linked with Erling Haaland as well. Therefore it is no surprise that these two Premier League giants are reported to be circling around Harry Kane. The price tag on the 27-year-old’s shoulder could well be a matter of concern for the clubs from Manchester. Perhaps, in a non-COVID era, the sum might have been easily afforded but with football clubs all over the world facing financial difficulties, it is highly unlikely to see either of one matching the asking price set by the Spurs.
Harry Kane is one of the most prolific goal-scorers in the Premier League and is an invaluable asset for Jose Mourinho. Having said that, the 27-year-old hasn’t got any silverware to complement his stats and that is something that might bother the striker. Tottenham, after a solid start to the season, have slipped down the table to the ninth position, and judging by their current form, even a fourth-place finish looks highly difficult for Jose Mourinho and his men.
Kane might decide to stay and fight for titles at Spurs if they win the Europa League this season and the Carabao Cup final, against a strong Manchester City side.
While a lot is at stake regarding Kane this summer, Manchester City must not lose their focus in their pursuit of Erling Haaland, who is one of the brighter talents in European football. The 20-year-old is already one of the most lethal finishers at such a young age and has been linked with a switch to the Etihad Stadium ahead of the next season.
