The current midfield line-up at Manchester City consists of Phil Foden, Ilkay Gundogan, Kevin De Bruyne, and Rodri. While Phil Foden is still very young, Gundogan is 30. The former Dortmund man is enjoying his best season at Manchester City but the Citzyens have already started to plan for the future. Kevin De Bruyne is currently out injured but a player of his class is set to go good for another five years.
The former Premier League Champions, however, are not the only ones scouting the 23-year-old. Sun understands that Juventus, Borussia Dortmund, Liverpool, and Bayern Munich are also keeping tabs on Neuhaus, who is regarded as one of the brighter talents in Bundesliga.
Having featured 99 times for the Monchengladbach, the midfielder has got 32 goal-involvements next to his name, having found the back of the net 14 times while assisting on 18 occasions.
Neuhaus’ contract expires only in 2024 but has a release clause worth £35 million and one could see the German International make a move this summer.
Having already forced his way into the German International team, Neuhaus looks set for a long career, should he play the way he is currently playing. Liverpool are the only other Premier League team keeping a close watch on the prospect as the Reds look to battle it out with Manchester City.
Neuhaus spent his first season at Monchengladbach out on loan at Fortuna Dusseldorf but managed to break into the first team of Monchengladbach, after the completion of his loan-spell in 2018-19. The 23-year-old made 32 appearances that season and hasn’t looked back since then.
Manchester City have been linked with a series of big names for the upcoming summer window and by all means, it is going to be one of the very crucial summer windows for the Sky Blues. Lionel Messi, Erling Haaland, Renan Lodi, Harry Kane, and Romelu Lukaku are among the names that fill the list of players linked with a move to the Etihad for the next season.
