Manchester City eyeing a sensational summer swoop for goal-scoring machine
Manchester City have been linked with Spurs superstar Harry Kane for quite some time now. The former Premier League champions are in need of a striker as their premier striker, Sergio Aguero’s future remains uncertain. Moreover, the Sky Blues are in need of a replacement for Aguero who is 32, now. Having said that, Daily Mail reports that the Cityzens are preparing a £100 million bid for the English superstar.

COVID-19 has been no different to Spurs as the finances of the North Londoners have been hit pretty hard and Daniel Levy will be looking to balance the expense sheets. It is believed that the price tag on Kane’s shoulders is close to £89 million but an offer for £100 million would be enough to convince the chairman of Tottenham to accept the fact that his most prized possession at Tottenham would be joining another club.
The English skipper is set to be out for a minimum of 2-3 weeks as he continues to recover from the double-ankle injury that he sustained in the match against Liverpool. Harry Kane has been linked with a move away from the Tottenham stadium as the 28-year-old is eager to add trophies to his impressive goal-scoring record.
Barcelona and Real Madrid have been keeping close tabs on the 27-year-old but with the financial state of the Catalan giants, it is highly unlikely that either of the two teams would be interested in matching the £89 million price tag over Harry’s shoulders. The Sky Blues have been also linked with Erling Haaland and have got a tough choice to make between the Englishman and the Norweighean.
Having said that, Kane if presented with the opportunity to join Manchester City, would have to make one of the toughest decisions in his footballing career. The 27-year-old reached the status of being one of the world’s very best during his stay at Tottenham and leaving a club that has given him a lot would be a very difficult option to choose.
There are three strikers linked with Manchester City ahead of the next season. Erling Haaland, Romelu Lukaku, and Harry Kane are three big names and it will be interesting to see who the Cityzens decide to pursue.
