Manchester City have been very inactive this transfer window with their only notable priority being the renewal of Kevin De Bruyne and Raheem Sterling. The Cityzens have been linked to several big names in the last few weeks but the former Premier League champions haven’t made a move for any of them. Manager Pep Guardiola has cleared the air surrounding the uncertainty of Manchester City’s performance in the winter window. Guardiola has revealed that Manchester City won’t sign any new players this month will get through the season with the existing set of players, as per Goal.

More from Man City Transfer Rumors

The former Premier League champions have been linked with the likes of David Alaba, Erling Haaland, Lionel Messi, and Manuel Locatelli. Alaba is on his way to join Real Madrid as a free agent at the end of this season and Haaland could well up staying for another season at Borussia Dortmund. Lionel Messi’s future is still uncertain and Manchester City are considered to be one of the potential suitors for the 33-year-old. Coming to Manuel Locatelli, Manchester City are said to be interested in the 23-year-old but are only scouting him at the moment and are unlikely to move in for the midfielder this winter. A summer move for the Italian may be on the cards.

The former Premier League champions need a striker as Aguero is close to a club departure and Gabriel Jesus hasn’t really stepped up this season. Sergio Aguero is in the final year of his contract and might end up leaving the club as a free agent at the end of this season if an agreement between the player and the Sky Blues isn’t reached before the end of the season.

Manchester City are truly back-up and running after what appeared to be a slow start to the season. The Sky Blues are now just two points behind the league leaders and rivals, United. The former Premier League champions have got a game in hand, though. The Cityzens have now won five games on the trot and will hope to continue their winning run.
