Manchester City have been largely inactive this January window but the Cityzens are looking to land a big target this month.

Perhaps one of the most dramatic downfalls from the last season is that of Adama Traore’s. The 24-year-old last season was valued at £130 million but this time around, it has dipped down to almost as low as £40 million. The right-wingback is being circled by the likes of Manchester City, Liverpool, and Leeds United with the Reds being the latest entrants on the list of teams interested in the Spaniard, as per Express.

More from Man City Transfer Rumors

Adama wants to play in Euros 2021 and his poor form isn’t helping his ambitions. Moreover, he is not the first choice in the Wolves XI (due to poor form). Daniel Podence and Pedro Neto have stepped up in the absence of the 24-year-old and have done their duties well enough up to this stage.

Jurgen Klopp however played down the probability of Liverpool signing Adama Traore this winter due to the financial difficulties faced because of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. It is believed that the west midlands club in Wolves will be ready to accept a fee in the range of £35 million but it remains to be known if they would be willing to part ways with one of their key players, midway through the season.

Leeds United transfer chief, Victor Orta is said to be a big fan of Traore and is the main reason behind their interest in the Spaniard.

Manchester City can sign Adama Traore but the 24-year-old must not be considered a priority as the squad has enough depth to keep going. The 24-year-old is a versatile player and can play almost anywhere on the pitch. With his pace and shooting skills, he can play as a full-back while making overlapping runs with Riyad Mahrez on the right flank. Having said that, it is highly unlikely that Manchester City are going to try to land Adama this winter unless something dramatic happens and Traore becomes the number one priority.

It is tough to see Manchester City make any big signings this month.
