Isco has fallen down the pecking order at Real Madrid and Manchester City have sensed an opportunity.

Manchester City’s defense has outshone their attack this season. Having said that, the chances are being created thick and fast but it is the finishing that needs some working. Manchester City’s current midfield line-up consists of Kevin de Bruyne, Rodri, Phil Foden, and Ilkay Gundogan. Real Madrid’s Isco has been one of their key performers in the last 2-3 years but the Spaniard has fallen down the pecking order at the Los Blancos. Manchester City are keeping close tabs on this situation and are preparing to move in for the Spaniard, as per Sport Witness.

More from Man City Transfer Rumors

Isco wants to be a part of the Spain National team that will take part in Euros next summer. Having said that, it will be almost impossible for him to enter Luis Enrique’s plans for the National team if he doesn’t spend adequate minutes on the pitch. With each passing day, his future at Real Madrid continues to grow uncertain. It is believed that Isco has communicated his decision to leave the club to Zidane but the 28-year-old prefers staying in Spain. Mundo Deportivo believes that the player wants to move to Sevilla where he feels that he will be getting enough first-team action.

On the player’s part, it would make sense for him to move to Sevilla as at Manchester City, he would be competing for a spot with either Gundogan or Foden, both of whom are used to playing in England.

The Spanish midfielder is also linked with Juventus and Napoli but it is highly unlikely for him to move to Italy.

The Sky Blues’ midfield looks solid enough and Isco would just be a welcome addition. The Cityzens have been linked with some big names in the recent past. The likes of Sergio Ramos, David Alaba, Lionel Messi, and Erling Haaland are some of the elite names tipped to join Real Madrid. The former Premier League champions, however, aren’t too keen on spending big this winter and will be making restricted buys, if at all they do. Atletico Madrid’s Renan Lodi is one of the targets in mind at Manchester City but it remains to be seen if a winter transfer would be possible.
