Jayden Braaf is touted to be the next big thing on the attacking flanks. Set to follow in Jadon Sancho’s footsteps, Manchester City are planning well for the future.

It was only recently that Braaf was promoted to train with the first team but hasn’t seen any first-team action. Bundesliga giants in Dortmund have been monitoring the 18-year-old and are now prepared to move in for him. Manchester City have recognized this and are prepared to sell off the 18-year-old to the former Bundesliga Champions, as per Daily Mail.

More from Man City Transfer Rumors

To prevent another ‘Jadon Sancho-like situation’, it seems City has taken some adequate measures. When Jadon Sancho left the Etihad stadium for a fee in the range of 8-10 million pounds to join Dortmund, no one could have imagined the growth that he’d undergo at the Signa Iduna Park. Sancho is one of the best wingers in the world at the moment and has a lot of time on his side, indicating that there is a lot that is yet to come from the English winger. Jayden Braaf is talented and is seriously fast.

Having joined the Sky Blues from PSV back in 2018, the 18-year-old has got nine goals from 18 appearances, playing for the CIty U-23 side.

With Dortmund close losing out on Sancho at the end of this season, it seems that they have incorporated the idea of having Jayden Braaf as his replacement in the XI. The rumored deal, however, has got twists of its own. While the price range of around 8-10 million euros is set to be the same, Manchester City have rectified their past mistake by adding a sell-on clause and a buy-back clause. This means that the Sky Blues will receive a percentage of the sum of the future sale of Jayden Braaf i.e if Dortmund do decide to sell him in the future. A buy-back clause would allow the Cityzens to buy Braaf back without any complications, should he evolve into a player with a stature similar to Sancho’s.

Jadon Sancho has been closely linked with Manchester United in the recent past and the Red Devils could only go up to 90 million pounds for the youngster in comparison to the former Bundesliga champions’ asking price of 120 million pounds. The deal, however, is expected to go through next summer.
