Manchester City planning a shock transfer for English superstar
Harry Kane has been closely linked with a move to Manchester City and the rumors may well come true.
Manchester City are looking for a replacement for Sergio Aguero. While the Argentinean is an obvious club legend, having been their record goal-scorer with 256 goals, age seems to have caught up with him. The 33-year-old has had injury issues this season and has hardly looked at his best. Gabriel Jesus was touted as the one who would step up in Sergio Aguero’s absence but his inaccuracy in front of the goal is hurting the team and pundits now believe that perhaps Jesus may not be the right man to lead the attack. Harry Kane has been linked with a move away from Tottenham in recent times and Manchester City are said to be one of the favorites to land him. With the winter window underway, Manchester City are plotting a shock transfer for Harry Kane as per the Sun.

With Kane in search of some titles, the English superstar may well be tempted with the prospect of moving to the Etihad this season or the next. Tottenham on the other hand will try to keep their main man until the expiry of his contract, which is three years from now. The 27-year-old has admitted that he may need to seek a move away from Tottenham if the team fails to win any big titles this season. Having scored 204 goals for the North London outfit since the 2014/15 season and has shattered many records for his team.
To be fair, Manchester City have got a better chance of winning a major title this season than Tottenham Hotspurs but with Jose Mourinho at the helm, one cannot count out the Spurs. The sad reality for the 27-year-old is that in the last season, Tottenham weren’t expected to make it into a Europa League spot and that is a matter of concern. A player like Kane would naturally want to be a part of a team that qualifies for the UEFA Champions League nine out of ten seasons.
Having said that, Pep wants Harry Kane to lead his attack and the Sky Blues are planning an offer worth 90 million pounds for the English superstar. While it remains unknown if the Cityzens would proceed with this idea this winter or at the end of the season, it is highly unlikely that Kane would reject the idea of playing at the Etihad stadium if Tottenham fails to win any of the major trophies this season.
With the winter window already underway, who would you like to see at Manchester City this season or the next?
