Manchester City Women have been one of the dominant domestic sides in Women’s football since the current League structure was established, but this season are joined in the top flight by Manchester United.

Kicking off the new Women’s Super League season with a local derby game between Manchester City Women and recently formed Manchester United Women seems like the best possible start to a new season.

The game is so big and in so much demand, following years of growth as demonstrated by the huge TV audiences for the recent Women’s World Cup, that this derby game has been switched from the CFA, where City Women usually play – to the Etihad Stadium!

This means the game can be attended by many more fans and of course what City Women need is a large crowd to drive them to victory over their rivals! So, as each block in the stadium sells out there are more blocks being opened to keep up with demand.

It will be a fantastic opportunity for City Women to play in front of a large home crowd at the Etihad Stadium so if you can make the game it is well worth picking up tickets. They are still available from the Manchester City ticket website here.

To make the game even more attractive for fans – the ticket prices are exceptionally good. Tickets are priced at £7 for adults and all kids are free. For added good measure there is also free car parking available on site at the official club car parks!

City promise there will be a host of entertainment present in and around the stadium to entice families and urge fans to come early to avoid disappointment!
