Guardiola has rich title-winning experience

The Catalan’s esteemed nature and success at the top level often goes without saying, but when picking reasons why Manchester City will reinforce their dominance at the zenith of English football, it is one of the key points.

Pep Guardiola has not only won almost every trophy available in the continent, but has reshaped the way football is played. Manchester City have bought into that incredible style, and despite qualms it wouldn’t work in the Premier League, the Sky Blues have surged to unprecedented jubilation.

The former Barcelona boss, who orchestrated one of the best – if not the greatest – Blaugrana teams to ever grace the field, has also tasted success in Germany and now England, going significant lengths in proving why he is one of the prime managers in the world.

More from Man City Square

If anyone is to clinch successive Premier League titles for the first time since Manchester United from 2006-2009, Guardiola is the person to do so.

The storming fashion in which Manchester City won the championship, obliterating a number of records in their path, indicates that their Premier League command will only intensify as the Catalan’s reign at Etihad Stadium grows longer.

And Guardiola is capable of turning City into that Barcelona-style all-conquering club. If the Sky Blues can replicate their title triumph, there is no reason to say a new revelation hasn’t begun.

There is a long way to go, and teams of the past are still revelling in the legacy City are yet to create, but they are certainly on their way.
