Sterling has been a stand out performer for Pep Guardiola’s record breaking Centurions side, scoring a series of last minute goals to invigorate the march towards the title.
Yet Raheem Sterling’s current contract with Manchester City expires on 30 June 2020 and despite the club having offered him a new deal on improved terms last season, it remains unsigned.
Sterling moved to Manchester City from Liverpool and much was made of his transfer at the time by the press, which in turn continued to fuel a media vilification which continues to see Sterling regularly booed by away supporters.

So far Manchester City have offered a new deal placing Sterling in the top group of player pay but falling short of parity with KDB.
As the clock ticks down it is becoming increasingly likely City will not upset the apple cart of their current wage structure which given Sterling’s on going refusal to commit to terms, places the club with little option but to make Sterling available for transfer to recoup their investment.
Sterling may well find himself on the transfer list come winter 2018 if his deal is not signed.
The England international is still only 23, not turning 24 until December which means he is likely to have at least two potential big money moves in his career.
I am hoping he accepts the terms on offer. The loss of Sterling would be too much to bear.
