We don’t normally enjoy too much of this, but in this game we did. Now, that’s not to say we didn’t deserve the win, we absolutely did.

Had we been more clinical in front of goal earlier on in the game, we’d have been four or more up.

The penalty decision will be highlighted as a decision which went against Arsenal. After the match Arsenal boss, Arsene Wenger, said that Sterling was good at diving.

I think, looking back at the incident, there was certainly contact, with Nacho Monreal finding himself the wrong side of Sterling.

More from Man City Square

That decision, I don’t think, will be subject to the FA panel adjudication. However I do think there is a case for disappointment for City’s third goal. The ball was delayed in getting to David Silva but the Assistant Referee never raised his flag.

As the game continued, as an Arsenal player, you have to continue the game rather than standing stationery with your arm up in the air. Jesus converted the chance to restore our two goal lead and that knocked the final air out of Arsenal’s sails.
