Okay, so maybe that wasn’t what he meant when he was talking after the game. Focus was brought onto the Belgium International when, at half time, he could be seen arguing with Silva and Fernandinho.
As the whistle blew for half-time, Kevin can be seen making a beeline toward the fourth official. Some reports this morning had suggested he had wanted to question the award of the Napoli penalty. For me, it makes more sense that he was looking for the reason for his booking. Immediately after that he seemed to look that way, making a wagging finger gesture.
Coming a minute before the whistle, it certainly seems to make more sense for him to still feel adequate injustice to be that fired up for a confrontation.
Two goals up, and on that yellow card it was great to see what happened next. David Silva, as Captain, going across and making it clear Kevin shouldn’t continue.

You can make out our fiery red-head telling the Spaniard ‘Let me talk’ multiple times before walking down the tunnel. Now, I am not sure about Kevins relationship with Mrs Kev, but with my wife, I would never dare shout ‘Let me talk!’ at her. I just listen, as best I can, and hope I have the chance to get away soon.
It was actually good to hear some of the pundits react to the rant in a positive way. Rio Ferdinand stated that Kevin has that laid back feeling and it was good to see he does care and has passion. And it was good to see that, not that City fans were unaware of his passion. I don’t think his attempt to talk to the official was greta but the back and forth with Silva was positive to see.

Even two goals up, they all knew it was still a tight game and needed all eleven guys on the field. I am sure KDB must have thanked Merlin afterwards for handling the situation the way he did. Talking after the game he confirmed that there was no ongoing issue and I believe that. Of course, with so many cameras focused on the pitch, maybe more was made of it. For me though, the internet is a wonderful thing, and it wasn’t long before this appeared. Enjoy.
