When he arrived back to pre-season with a shaved head many people did a double take. I thought Pablo Zabaleta had moved on, was the cry from the fans. Tonight, with his head bandaged after a bloody collision, the transformation was complete.
On a serious note though, he seems to be enjoying the role of Captain. It certainly makes sense for him to have it in Vinny’s absence. Being further up the field the Captain is thick in the action with the way Pep likes his sides to play.
