The season’s first international break is already upon us. Just after three weeks, many players will go represent their countries in World Cup Qualifiers.

Fourteen players from eight different nations will have the honor to represent their countries during the World Cup qualifiers this weekend.

Bernardo Silva and Portugal look to continue their hot streak. After falling to Switzerland in the opener, The defending European champions dominated their opponents, scoring twenty-two and only conceding one en route to a five-game winning streak. They will look to continue their momentum against the relative minnows in the Faroe Islands and Hungary.

England is also dominating their field, as the Three Lions are on top and undefeated after six matches. Kyle Walker, John Stones, and Raheem Sterling will look to keep up the momentum against Malta and Slovakia.

David Silva and Spain’s road is a little tougher. Yes, they do take on the meekly Liechtenstein side, but they also battle the mighty Italians. Last time those two faced each other, it took a late penalty for Italy to salvage a point. Both sides are sitting on top with five wins and a draw. Will anyone separate themselves from the other?

Belgium has also dominated their group, with five wins and a draw so far as well. Vincent Kompany, Kevin de Bruyne, and Co. look to crush to tiny Gibraltar side and avenge their only draw against Greece.

For Oleksandr Zinchenko and Ukraine, it has not been as good as the others. Despite only having one loss, the Eastern European side sits fourth place with a fear of missing out on the World Cup once again. However, they will battle Turkey and Iceland, who are both ahead of Ukraine in the standings. They can very well fight their way back to the biggest party of the summer.

In South America, things are a little more hectic. Brazil already qualified for the World Cup with a dominant performance. They showed that they are a class above others, raking ten wins and only one loss in fourteen games.

However, both Claudio Bravo’s Chile and Sergio Aguero’s Argentina is on the ropes. With only three points separating the second place and the fifth place spot, it is anyone’s guess to see who grabs the automatic qualification spot. Chile has it much easier, as they will battle the bottom feeders in Bolivia and Paraguay. Argentina, on the other hand, has to go to Uruguay before taking on the last-place Venezuela.

One of the biggest snubs in this international window was undoubtedly Leroy Sane. The German international was sensational last season. This season, however, he is having trouble finding his spot on the team, featuring as a wing back multiple times. Nevertheless, he is way too talented to stay out of both the national side and the club side for too long. Expect to see the electric winger back in action soon.

In addition to the first team members, another City-affiliated player will feature this week. Joe Hart is once again called up for England.

Chile: Claudio Bravo

Brazil: Ederson, Fernandinho, Gabriel Jesus

England: Kyle Walker, John Stones, Raheem Sterling

Argentina: Nicolas Otamendi, Sergio Aguero

Belgium: Vincent Kompany, Kevin de Bruyne

Spain: David Silva

Portugal: Bernardo Silva

Ukraine: Oleksandr Zinchenko
