LB. Manchester City. ALEKSANDER KOLAROV. 7.5. An up and down performance for the Serbian. Not terribly surprised to see him in the lineup after Clichy’s poor performance last game against Leicester City. Distributed the ball relatively well, but gave it up a decent amount of times as well. However, he produced a couple of good passes and chances and was able to concoct a great strike from a free-kick which he was unfortunate not to score from.
Surely he won’t be our starting left-back next season. Might have been his last game at the Etihad as well…

Another very solid performance from our skipper and captain. I am so glad he has returned to his regular, consistent form without having to leave due to injury. He constantly was breaking up West Brom’s passes and breaks, and distributed fairly well. There was an injury scare in there, and I’m sure all City fans were holding their breaths, but it looks like he came out unscathed… hopefully. We can definitely use him going forward.. CB. Manchester City. VINCENT KOMPANY. 8

7.5. Gave away a couple of sloppy passes, but another great performance from the Argentinian. He has greatly improved over the last ten games or so. Another player who is rumored to go out, but honestly I think we should keep him with his good run of form. Like Kompany, he was constantly stopping West Brom’s attack and was great at most times while he was on the ball.. CB. Manchester City. NICOLAS OTAMENDI

8. Pep decided to keep Fernandinho at right back today, and I thought it was the right decision. His versatility has been crucial for us at times this season: he produced another solid performance on the right side today, providing defensive support for Kompany and Otamendi, width (as Gabi Jesus/De Bruyne were not always on the wing), distribution in the center of midfield, and was a clog in West Brom’s attack..
