Manchester City have booked their place in the next round of the Women's FA Cup after beating Ipswich Town 3-0 over the weekend.

Manchester City took on Ipswich Town a few days ago in the fourth round of the FA Cup. They were comfortable winners against the FAWNL Southern Premier Division side.

Jill Roord, Laura Coombs and Vivianne Miedema were all on the scoresheet for the Sky Blues, securing a 3-0 victory and a place in the fifth round of this season's FA Cup.

Even though the result was one that was expected from the Cityzens, the 3-0 win still comes as a good start to their 2025 and will hopefully boost their confidence when they go into more vital matches.

On Monday, the draw for the fifth round of the FA Cup was made, and Manchester City's opponents were announced.

For Manchester City, they will be facing either fellow Women's Super League side Leicester City or they will be meeting FA Women's National League's Stoke City.

Manchester City will be the heavy favourites in whoever prevails out of the two options. However, we know that Leicester City always pose a big threat to the Sky Blues.

There are some interesting fixtures to look forward to in this competition, the most notable coming as a potential match between Tottenham, who are confirmed for the next round, and Chelsea, who still need to take on Everton. While we know any outcome can happen, a meeting between Chelsea and Spurs will be the predicted one.

City's rivals Manchester United have advanced to the next stage and will meet Wolves, while Arsenal and Liverpool are yet to have their outcomes decided.

The fixtures are scheduled to get started on Sunday, the ninth of February.
