The UEFA Champions League playoff round came to an end on Wednesday night, with the next eight clubs booking their place in the round of 16.
The playoff round of the Champions League has come to a conclusion with the 16 participating clubs cutting down to eight, who will join the already qualified top eight, Liverpool, Barcelona, Arsenal, Inter Milan, Atletico Madrid, Leverkusen, LOSC Lille and Aston Villa, in the next knockout round.
For Manchester City, they were faced with a 3-1 loss to add to their already 3-2 loss and have been eliminated from this season's edition of the Champions League. A result many would have not expected when the season was set to start.
