Manchester City were 4-1 winners against West ham during the Premier League weekend, claiming their second victory in a row.
After beating Leicester City last week 2-0, the Cityzens have earned themselves another win by beating West ham 4-1. An own goal, a Phil Foden strike and an Erling Haaland brace cemented the victory and gave City the vital three points.
In the Premier League, the Cityzens are sixth place with 34 points, with Newcastle and Chelsea just a little bit ahead of them. While Nottingham Forest and Arsenal are both on 40 points, and leaders Liverpool have 46 points.
While City have been faced with many injuries during this season, there is one name that has really been showcasing his talent; earning praise from fellow teammates and even his manager, Pep Guardiola.
Savinho's prove to be rising talent for Man City
So far in the 24/25 season, Savinho has made 25 appearances for the Sky Blues; making a clear impact as he's been responsible for eight assists and even scored his first City goal against Leicester City a few weeks ago.
Kevin De Bruyne was full of compliments for his Brazilian teammate, "He had a lot of moments where he did really well. I think he started the season really well, then obviously with us doing a little bit less it was hard for him."
"Lately, it seems like he's found confidence again. Scoring last week can help, and today (against West ham) he had a really good performance. I'm happy for him."
Savinho has also received some words of wisdom alongside encouragement from his coach, Pep Guardiola, who states Savinho is very deserving of his match time, "Anyone in this room think Savinho doesn't deserve to play? No, because he produces."
"The goal the other day was brilliant and two unbelievable assists; the second from the beginning was top. His goal was lucky, but the two assists were brilliant. I am so happy for him, and he deserves to play."
"Savinho has everyhting to win and prove. He has a lot to improve, he is not aggressive enough without the ball, but right now he has something special to help the team."
