Manchester City Women's team: October schedule
By Hidayah Ali
Manchester City have completed a month in the new 24/25 season, having participated in fixtures in the Women's Super League and the UEFA Women's Champions League.
The month of September saw Manchester City play five matches in three different competitions; the first coming in the final of the Australian Perth Cup against Paris Saint-Germain which ended in a 1-0 defeat.
They then started their journey in the official Leagues, as they required a second-round qualification tie against Paris FC in a decider to confirm who would book a place in this season's Champions League.
The tie was much easier than expected, as Manchester City took out last year's surprise underdogs in an aggregate of 8-0 to secure a place in the upcoming group stage.
Then, the women's super-league got underway as Man City started their campaign with a meeting against Arsenal, but the two sides had to settle for a point each on the opening day, finishing the 90 minutes with two goals each.
The final game of September came in against Brighton and Hove Albion in the women's Super League, which ended 1-0 in the cityzens favour, thanks to a goal from topscorer Khadija 'Bunny' Shaw.
Now, The Sky Blues head into October with five fixtures to prepare for, three coming in the Women's Super League and two in the UEFA Champions League.
