Manchester City once again were unable to claim a victory after losing 2-1 to Aston Villa in the Premier League weekend.
After their 2-1 to Villa on the weekend, City have gone 12 fixtures with only one win while coming up with two draws and nine losses; a statistic that is unbelievable when it comes to a club like Manchester City considering the incredible stuff they've achieved in the last few seasons.
The Sky Blues went 1-0 down in the first half after a Jhon Duran strike gave Villa the lead. In the second half, it was Atson Villa who scored the second goal of the day and went 2-0 up. Man City were able to get one back through a 95th-minute Phil Foden goal, but, it wasn't able to amount to anything more than consolation.
Erling Haaland has expressed his disappointment in Man City's current streak and also his own, which sees them seventh in the Premier League and at this moment in time not fighting for the title but fighting for the top four.
Erling Haaland after Man City's 2-1 defeat
"Of course we are disappointed, it's not good enough. It's not good enough from me. They're good players, it's difficult but we're Man City. We have to continue, we have to believe and we have to keep working hard."
"We have to continue. First, I'm looking at myself, I haven't been doing things good enough, I haven't been scoring, my chances. I have to do better."
"Of course, our confidence is not the best. We know how important confidence is and you can see that it affects everyone. That is how it is, we have to continue and stay positive even though it is difficult."
Manchester City will next take on Everton on the 27th of December and will be determined to get themselves an all-important victory.
