Manchester City have been drawn against Chelsea for their quarter-final match in the UEFA Champions League.

The UEFA Champions League draw for the quarter-finals and semi-finals was made on Friday afternoon, determining which of the eight remaining clubs would be taking on who and which side of the bracket they would be found on.

For Manchester City, it's an all-English affair as they prepare for a huge tie against fellow Women's Super League side Chelsea.

Man City's return to the UWCL has been rather impressive so far. For the qualifier tie, they cooked up a huge 8-0 aggregate over Paris FC to cement their place in the group stage.

The group stage saw Man City win five of their six matches, their only loss coming as 3-0 to defending champions Barcelona on the last matchday. The Sky Blues finished their group in second spot thanks to double wins over St Polten and Hammarby, while also winning their opening game 2-0 against Barcelona.

For Chelsea, they won all of their six matches in their group which contained Real Madrid, Twente and celtic.

If Manchester City can beat their upcoming opponent Chelsea across a two-legged tie, then they would either take on 2023's runners-up Wolfsburg or defending champions, who they played in the group stage, Barcelona.

Other WSL club Arsenal are on the other side of the bracket, giving a possibility to an all-English final in Lisbon.

This will be a significant task for the Cityznes who have in the last few seasons found themselves competing with Chelsea in various competitions. For this season, they have only met once in the WSL, and that ended with a 2-0 win for Chelsea.

Man City's season has seen a mix of outcomes: in the League, they have failed to challenge for the title, and their aim going forward is just to finish in the top three. However, they are still in the FA Cup, and just recently, they booked their place in the League Cup final, which will be against Chelsea.

As they continue in the Champions League, Manchester City will be hoping to produce a big shock victory, which will send them into the semi-final.
