Manchester City made a sensational start to their Champions League campaign last week as they eased to a 4-0 victory away to Sevilla.

The impressive performance saw a clean sheet from a new-look backline of Cancelo, Akanji, Dias (who got himself on the scoresheet late on) and Gomez. And highlight performances from Haaland and Foden.

More goals for Haaland, that have fans and pundits astounded, a brace which makes 12 goals for the season by early September. Foden was a constant threat going forward, adding a goal to his Champions League tally.

Manchester City will face Borussia Dortmund in their next Champions League outing at the Etihad, reuniting Haaland and Akanji against their former club – and Gundogan, but I’m hoping he’s over his ex after his PL winning heroics last season.
