Manchester City eased to an emphatic win against Sevilla in their first 22/23 Champions League game of the season.

An excellent performance all round, from debutants to out of form players – all showed why they are regarded as some of the worlds best.

The blues put four past Sevilla whilst maintaining a clean sheet for the perfect start to the campaign. A brace from Haaland, and goals from Phil Foden and Ruben Dias.

Sevilla were underwhelming as City put on a familiar dominant display, which gave Pep and opportunity to rest some key players ahead of the weekends Premier League game against Spurs.

Three points from the opening matchday in arguably the toughest fixture of the group stage. Fans will not be dreaming of Istanbul just yet but a quick glance of tickets cannot do no harm.

We rate the players from a comfortable win in southern Spain.
