Manchester City optimistic of luring Toni Kroos to the Etihad!

Pep Guardiola seems to be keen on boosting one aspect of his side in the forthcoming transfer window – midfield. The reigning Premier League Champions are being linked heavily with many premium midfielders, with Real Madrid’s Toni Kroos the latest one on to join the list, The Mirror understands.
The 31-year-old has been on the top of his game for the last decade or so and is considered to be one of the best for Germany in terms of Midfielders. In his eight appearances for the Los Blancos, he managed an impressive G/A of three in the La-Liga.
The German national seems to be lured by the thought of combining his skills with the legendary manager, Pep Guardiola, and leaving the Bernabeu, given that the 31-year-old has probably got another or two seasons at the most before the Los Blancos prioritize launching Federico Valverde and Eduardo Camavinga in the midfield.
The Skyblues midfield veteran Fernandinho is tipped to draw curtains on his tremendous career at the end of this season. City midfield mainstays like Kevin De Bruyne, and Ilkay Gundogan, are on the wrong side of the thirties and Pep would be keen on bolstering that aspect of the third.
However, it is unlikely that City would want to have Kroos in their ranks and would rather want someone like Frenkie de Jong and Pedri in their ranks. This does not mean that the two Barca players have been linked with the Cityzens but this is just to say.
Having said that, the defending champions have Renato Sanches ( Lille), Frenkie De Jong (FC Barcelona), Denis Zakaria (Borussia Monchengladbach), and Aurelien Tchaouameni (AS Monaco) on their radar.
However, the deal is not going to be a straightforward one and is anticipated to go all the way down the wire with Liverpool and Barcelona constantly breathing down their necks for the highly-rated La-Liga midfielder.
So, will Toni Kroos opt for a Premier League switch?
Well, you have to wait until the winter window to commence for that.
