Made more passes in the game than the entire West Ham side, even if most of them were no more than 2 feet and sideways. It is how he fares against better sides who will press him which will be the deciding factor. Right now, I was more troubled by some of his careless passing.

Kevin de Bruyne

Our bona fide superstar. Ran the show. Always hungry and willing to work hard. Not always helped out by a lack of movement at times around him. Dropped deeper in the second half and they had no answers. A goal and an assist. Man of the Match.

David Silva

A better display than recently against a team who summarily failed to press him at all. Lots of turms and flicks to roll back the years. Left clutching his hamstring but hopefully that will be a minor knock.
