Manchester City 2 Crystal Palace 2: Player Ratings and MOTM
By David Crook
Substitutes and Man of the Match
Gabriel Jesus
He looked bright and what we needed and we shoukd have had two up front or Sterling off much, much earlier.
Player Rating 7
Riyad Mahrez
Never really makes an impact as a substitute, always better from the start of games.
Player Rating 6
Rodrigo
Not enough time on the pitch to mark.
Man of the Match
This was not a great City performance, it was laboured against an average opposition. The team as a whole did not perform well and perhaps much of that was to do with the set up and instryctions they were given. To the watching fans some of the lack of tempo, incisision and energy was difficult to comprehend.
There were players on the bench who could change that, but not all were deployed.
Of those on the pitch, Aguero gave the most. Two goals should have sealed the victory but for customary poor defending.
