Manchester City: Player ratings in win over Manchester United
Defense
Claudio Bravo (GK): United couldn’t get much on his net other than Rashford’s goal, but he looked comfortable and did well against an early Daniel James breakaway. (7)
Kyle Walker (RB): Grabbed the assist on Bernardo Silva’s long-range strike and performed well in all phases. (7.5)
Nicolás Otamendi (CB): Couldn’t close the gap on Rashford but otherwise was decent on the day. (6.5)
Fernandinho (CB): City’s best defender on the day once again, and is really taking to the position and a real candidate to partner with Aymeric Laporte following the Frenchman’s return. (8)
Benjamin Mendy (LB): Not his best performance, but not terrible either, although he struggled for meaningful involvement going forward in some stretches. (6)
