In a world where we feel more connected, it is good to see individual players and their reaction. For us fans it was a fantastic moment. I have written about just how classy I think the celebrations were, both during and after the presentation.

A guard of honor including past Blues players happened before the game started, and some other ex Blues took to social media to congratulate their former side. Many would never has expected a Premier League title win when they pulled on the shirt, nevermind three.

Firstly though, there was a  message from our ex Manager, the guy who started it all by guiding us to an FA Cup win and our first Premier League win.

Meanwhile, players from our not so glory days, were front and center. Ian Bishop and Paul Dickov were two of the 1999 side to appear at various points during the events.

Back to sunny Florida for Bish, while Dickov wipes a tear from his eye.

Kevin Horlock, also part of that side in 1999, didn’t tweet the trophy presentation. He did however comment in the first game after Manchester City won the title. His message for other sides, and probably the majority of ex-red pundits was to not be bitter, just better!

Also there during the 1990’s was Shaun Goater. The true blue City legend retweeted Manchester City’s official post of the trophy presentation.

Just like the rest of us fans, sometimes it’s just enough to relive the players and fans celebrate that trophy once more.
