Manchester City are only going to improve
He may play in West Ham colors, but he will always be Blue at heart. I think it is fair to say that this season has been very different to any Pablo Zabaleta had previously. Currently only three points ahead of the last relegation spot, it is possible PabZab could be relegated this season.
Joining a day before the takeover, Pablo made his debut in a 3-1 defeat to Chelsea. A game which was all about Robinho. Spending nine seasons at the Blues he’s won the Premier League twice, an FA Cup and two League Cup’s.
Spending the majority of his time in the top six, and European football he now finds himself fighting for survival rather than success. Playing over 300 times for the Blues, in all competitions, he played his way into City hearts.
It was an emotional farewell last season as he took to the field with his wife, Christel Castaño and their two-year old son, Asier. Speaking after the latest game, and taking to Twitter to congratulate City with the title win, shows he still has a fondness for the club.
Heading over to the City crowd after the 4-1 victory for the Blues over his current club shows his love and appreciation for Manchester City. While it might not go down well with Hammers fans, they’ll understand the Bromance we have. In fact it’s more like he moved out of the house after a nine-year marriage, but we are still on good terms. The relationship may not be what it was but we want him back under our roof!

I think it was the right time to move on. He couldn’t bring what Kyle Walker brings to the position. But I also think that Pablo will return at some point. I would love for PabZab to join the coaching side. Either at the youth level or involved with the first team.
But, whether he returns or not, he will always remain a City legend. My father’s generation had Bell, Lee, Summerbee and a whole host of others who were successful after struggling. We have Kompany and Zabaleta, who were both bought pre takeover, and have remained and tasted success. And for that, I will always be thankful.
