  1. Eliaquim Mangala was atrocious today. The back line as a whole allowed multiple free runners and way more chances than they should have against this caliber opponent. It was Mangala though who had a noticeably poor game. He was beaten one-on-one on multiple occasions by a 19-year-old striker. He had a very bad foul in a dangerous area at the end of the first half to give Wolves a chance. Mostly though, he was routinely out of position. Sometimes so wildly so that he was chasing a Wolves break from behind inside the 18-yard box! More than missing out on Alexis Sanchez, the City front office’s biggest miss in the offseason was not securing any legitimate depth at Center Back. Mangala and Tosin Adarabioyo proved today they’re unable and unready, respectively, to fill that role for any length of time.
