Claudio Bravo was the man of the match for sure. He saved the penalties, something that’s becoming a bit of a specialty for him, and when called upon during the match he came up big. Those big saves were made on some ridiculous free runs given up by the Man City defense. 2016 Claudio Bravo lets at least one, if not more, of those slip behind him. He was aggressive and stout in goal today and for that he deserves a lot of credit. It’s not easy sitting on the bench for weeks at a time then coming off it with an inferior team in front of you. Bravo wasn’t the keeper City needed a year ago but maybe he’s the backup backstop they need now.
