Grade: A+

Benjamin Mendy is the crown jewel of this offseason, no doubt.

Manchester City broke the transfer fee record for defenders by signing the Frenchman. A hefty sum to pay, but a necessary one.

At just age 24, Benjamin Mendy is already one of the best left backs in the world. He is already one of the best crossing fullbacks. He can dribble through the team and bang one in. Not only that, he is a great defender as well. Mendy is truly a jack-of-all-trades, except that he is a master of all.

The injury limited Mendy to only one game so far, but he performed admirably. Do not be surprised if he establishes himself as the best left back in the league.
