Manchester City and Arsenal can both win in this swap deal
Rumors of Alexis Sanchez joining Manchester City have intensified. What kind of deal will both club agree on that can benefit both of them?
One of the biggest stories coming out of England as the transfer window enters its final days involves the ongoing Alexis Sanchez to Manchester City rumour. Reports have differed as the day progressed with a cash plus Sterling offer from City turning into a cash plus player FOR Sterling.
Neither of which makes sense for either side. From the Manchester City point of view, it’s clear that Pep wants Sanchez. Another fact not hidden is that Pep wants depth, competition for places and attacking players galore.
This to me is the reason why the deal certainly makes no sense for City to let Sterling go. It makes even less sense for the other rumour to be true, and that is the departure of Aguero for Sanchez. Arsenal fans may be licking their lips at the prospect of either of these two players arriving at the Emirates. However, do they really need either?

Arsenal purchased Lacazette this summer but left him on the bench against Liverpool. Besides him, they already have numerous small but quick attacking minded players at the club. That said, there is an option which could work for City and Arsenal, and it’s not one which has gained much traction within the media.
Fabian Delph is currently surplus to requirements at the Etihad, with Stoke hovering. Delph’s agent has said that the player is ‘really unhappy‘ could really push the issue in the coming days. Arsene Wenger was certainly interested in the England International earlier on in his career.
Aged 27 though, it’s now Arsene Wenger might need him more than ever. With Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain likely to move away from the Emirates, it is an industrious, central midfielder who, may not be the marquee signing Arsenal fans want, could be the exact understated one they need.

Offering him, plus cash, for Sanchez would be a win-win scenario for Manchester City too. It would relieve both clubs of unhappy players while keeping our own attack scary in both its depth and ability.
