Despite the transfer window winding down, Manchester City is not done. Now, news broke that City is looking to bring in both Alexis Sanchez and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.

According to the exclusive report by le10sport from France, Manchester City is considering a last-minute bid for the Borussia Dortmund striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.

The Gabonese striker has been prolific since moving to the German side. He scored double digit every season and found the back of the net over thirty times last season. His blister pace and killer instinct have drawn interests from many big clubs around the Europe, including PSG. He is already off to a hot start, scoring in each of the first two games of the season

The initial report suggests that the demand from Dortmund is close to €80million, or £74million, which is a certainly fair price in today’s market.

Despite already having two prolific strikers on the roster, Gabriel Jesus and Sergio Aguero, Pep Guardiola is looking to add another one to the mix. The Spanish manager utilized two-top recently and felt as if he needed another striker for rotation and depth-wise.

It will be curious to see how Aubameyang will fit into the squad. His lack of commitment defensive-wise will certainly clash with Guardiola’s system. Pep will certainly not hand the starting job to the Gabonese.

However, the transfer certainly has its roadblocks. After the sale of Ousmane Dembele to Barcelona, Dortmund might not want to lose another attack option. In-house options like Alexander Isak, Emre Mor, and Maximilian Phillipp are available. However, they are nowhere near the caliber of Aubameyang yet. While it helps that the Gabonese expressed interests in leaving the club, it certainly will not be a cakewalk.

The never-ending rumors of Alexis Sanchez-to-Manchester reignited this weekend after the 4-0 thrashing Arsenal received from Liverpool. The London club’s tendency to crumble has been a concern for some time. The Sunday’s game looks to be the final straw.

Arsene Wenger is reportedly keen on bringing Jayson Denayer to London, and City looks to use the defender to pry Sanchez away from Arsenal.

Although the winger has only twelve months left on his contract, it will still take a huge sum of money to bring him in. The fee will likely be around £65-70million, along with Denayer.
