There have been plenty of rumors about where Alexis Sanchez will play next season. If recent reports are anything to go by Sanchez will only accept a move to Manchester City.

Alexis Sanchez once again this season has shown why he is valued so highly by the football community. Another stellar season at Arsenal saw him score 31 goals and provide 13 assists in an under-par season for the rest of his teammates. Arsenal slumped to Wenger’s worst position in the Premier League.  Furthermore the Champions League on the back of two 5-1 drubbings by Bayern Munich. A shameful scoreline for a top club.

It is, therefore, no surprise that Sanchez wants out at Arsenal with clubs such as Bayern Munich, Juventus and Manchester City prowling around. However, in recent developments, Sanchez has locked his sights on a move to Manchester City, where he will work with his former Barcelona manner Pep Guardiola. It is believed that Sanchez told Bayern that he will only accept a wage of £420,000 a week. This has shocked the Bayern Hierarchy and would break Bayern’s current wage structure. This has convinced Bayern chiefs that Sanchez will only accept a move to Man City. That may have been his intention all along, pricing himself out to move to Manchester.

Arsene Wenger is believed to have tried to make Sanchez the highest paid player in Arsenal history. However, Sanchez has rejected the contract offer due to his ambitions to win trophies. Although Arsenal won the FA Cup, Sanchez believes that Arsenal is not genuine Premier League contenders. No Champions League does not help the case.

This brand new development will only convince more Manchester City fans that Sanchez will be playing regularly at the Etihad Stadium.
