#7 – Big Summer Signings

As expected the team had a busy summer, bringing in talent along all three lines. Ilkay Gundogan kicked it off, for £20 million, and has looked great until his unfortunate knee injury. Attackers Nolito and Leroy Sane followed, offering help for Aguero both this season and looking down the road.

Then the big signing finally came through in early August – John Stones. Bought for £47.5 million from Everton, a lot of pressure is on the centerback to live up to the high figure. At only 22, his best years are still well ahead of him and could one day be the City captain.

We are ignoring Bravo until his form improves to the point that it warrants being a part of a top moment for City. Similarly, Gabriel Jesus doesn’t offcially arrive at City until 1/1/17, so he was excluded, but hopefully is a 2017 top moment.
