Second Centerback: Nicolas Otamendi

The Argentine has greatly improved over the summer and early parts to this season which sees him start next to Fonte. He brings an aggressive nature to the game which good defenders need. He also is good at headers and aerial battles with makes him similar to Fonte.

John Stones and Virgil van Dijk are also considered for this spot but I feel that Otamendi and Fonte would be a solid partnership together. If Stones was at a higher level then he could be in this spot and not Otamendi, but for now the Argentine stays.
