Manchester City Injury Update: Sagna, Delph & CL Squad
As the team sets to face Barcelona on the road in the Champions League, we look at the injury report for Manchester City and who is fit to travel.
It has been a tough few weeks for Manchester City fans after a blazing start to the season. While a trip to Camp Nou typically isn’t what teams are looking for to help turn things around, sometimes the big matches can reignite a squad.

On the positive note, the City injury report continues to get smaller each week. Back in action from the weekend and fully fit for the Barcelona match are Vincent Kompany, Sergio Aguero, and Kevin De Bruyne. After several players were rested over the weekend as well, a nearly full squad is traveling to Spain.
Bacary Sagna
After picking up his hamstring injury during the international break with France, he was out for the Everton tie at the weekend. No changes have occurred in Bacary Sagna’s status or time table, which means we should look for his return after the next international break in November.
Fabian Delph
Going through last week, Delph seemed more likely to pass the late fitness tests over Kompany or De Bruyne. However, in a surprise squad announcement, both Kevin and Vincent were included in the action against Everton. Fabian failed a late fitness check and was ruled out for another week.
He is not apart of the squad heading to Barcelona, and can’t seem to shake what is becoming a lingering muscle concern. He will be evaluated again on Friday to determine if he can be available for Southampton.
