Following a 3-1 home victory against Hull City last weekend, Manchester City look to make it back-to-back league wins as they travel to Southampton on Saturday.

Pep Guardiola‘s men looked comfortable in last weekend’s win vs. Hull, and will hope for a win on Saturday in a place that isn’t easy to get results. Southampton, currently in ninth-place, are looking for their first three-match winning streak under manager Claude Puel.

More from Game preview

Ahead of Saturday’s match at St. Mary’s, Guardiola told BBC Sport he will again make a decision on who will start in goal, either Claudio Bravo or Willy Caballero. “Every weekend I will decide who is in goal. Last week I decided on Claudio and Saturday I will decide (again). It depends on the opponent, the pressing, what I see in the training sessions, so we are going to see.I like both to be involved, I have confidence in both of them, so we will see.”

Like in weeks past, us at ManCitySquare decided to continue our Combined Best XI idea for this week’s match. Players chosen are based off of form, and availability for the match.

Goalkeeper – Fraser Forster

The 29-year-old English international has started every match so far this season for Southampton and is a hard-target to score against. He is good and making himself big in front of goal, and doesn’t give up many rebounds. He is a true leader in the back for Southampton, while always making smart decisions in the team’s build-up play. He is an underrated keeper that may not get the notice that he deserves, but I feel he still is a better option that Bravo or Caballero.
