The Women’s Super League played out its second match weekend, where the 12 clubs took on their second fixtures of the new season.
The Women’s Super League had six fixtures to display over the weekend, carrying on from the beginning batch of matches the week prior.
The latest games were to be vital, as with so many competitors, every win and point count greatly.
For some clubs, they didn't get off to the scenarios they would have liked, especially Manchester City and Liverpool. But for others, they made flying entrances, such as Chelsea with their 2-1 win over Manchester City, Arsenal’s 4-1 triumph against newly promoted side London City Lionesses, and Everton with a massive 4-1 derby win over Liverpool.
The second match weekend featured fixtures such as Brighton vs Manchester City, London City Lionesses vs Manchester United, Liverpool vs Leicester City, and Aston Villa vs Chelsea, to name a few.
The next match weekend of the Women's Super League will take place on the 19th and 21st. There will be more big games to look ahead to, some of the standouts being Chelsea vs Leicester, Manchester United vs Arsenal, and Tottenham vs Manchester City.
