The Women’s Super League had its tenth match weekend take place, where big games saw bigger results.

The Women's Super League has had its tenth match weekend, where all sides attempted to claim the vital results.

Going into these fixtures, Manchester City were leaders of the WSL, with Chelsea, Manchester United, Arsenal and Tottenham all looking to keep up. While Manchester City were aiming to remain at the top, Chelsea were looking to take back that placement.

Among the many games, there was London vs Brighton, Leicester vs Manchester City, and Chelsea vs Everton, to name some.

While it is still early in the WSL, these results are very crucial as the title race so far has proved that there can be many twists and turns.

The next fixture comes on the 11th, which will be between Aston Villa and Liverpool, a game that was postponed before. And then the next match weekend will be on the 13th and 14th.

Let’s take a look at the results in the Women’s Super League and how the standings now look.

The Women’s Super League results

Arsenal 2-1 Liverpool

Manchester United 2-1 West ham

Leicester 0-3 Manchester City

Tottenham 2-1 Aston Villa

London 0-1 Brighton

Chelsea 0-1 Everton

While Manchester City got a 3-0 win against Leicester, and Arsenal defeated Liverpool, the surprising result was Chelsea’s unexpected loss to Everton. And due to this, Manchester City’s lead has now extended, and the title race is officially theirs to win or lose.

It’s Manchester City who are well and truly at the forefront of this season’s title race, as their gap with Chelsea has now been further increased.

While others will have to claim wins if they are to remain with a chance in this season’s WSL, a lot of what happens will depend on the results that come from Manchester City, as they are now leading this race very positively.

But it is still early in the season, and everything is still worth working for, but Manchester City have quite the edge, and if they can keep it like that, they’ll be on their way to triumph.
