Manchester City’s women's team are preparing for their third match of the Women’s Super League, where they’ll take on Tottenham in a big clash.
Manchester City’s women’s team are set to take on Tottenham in the third fixture of the Women's Super League.
The WSL will be featuring another match weekend, where another batch of matches are set to get underway.
The Cityzens began their WSL off with a 2-1 loss to Chelsea, a loss that ideally they would have preferred to avoid, but they made up for it when they claimed a 2-1 win over Brighton.
Manchester City go into their game with three points, sitting on sixth, while Tottenham have six points and are on fourth.
This will be a hard game for both sides, but it is one they’ll be eager to win. For Manchester City, if they are to be proper contenders for the WSL, they remain within a smaller proximity to their rivals, and for Tottenham, who have the same amount of points as Chelsea, Manchester United, Arsenal, and are also close to Everton, they’ll want to remain like that to be in with a good chance of going far this season.
This game will take place on Friday, the 19th at 19:30 (UK).
If Manchester City can get this win, it will be a huge positive for them as they hope to claim silverware this season, and if they are to do that in the WSL, they need to remain getting themselves victories.
Andree Jeglertz ahead of their fixture
“The most important thing is confidence. They have confidence, but I’m sure too we are a good team. We know they're a good team.
But I think we’re a better team and if we match them, I think we have a great opportunity to win.”
Our prediction
Tottenham 2-3 Manchester City
