The Women's European Championships are set to get underway this summer, with 16 teams all battling to claim the glorious crown.
With the 24/25 season almost at its end, with only a bit more than a month to go, we start looking ahead to what the summer will bring.
For the women, they will be heading into the Euros, which will be taking place in Switzerland. A total of eight cities will be hosting the matches, with places such as Basel, Geneva and Zurich among the locations.
The last time the European Championships took place, it was England who went on and got themselves the coveted trophy after an intense final with Germany.
The Lionesses will come into the latest edition of the competition as the reigning champions, elsewhere, Spain will carry the title of World Cup winners after their triumphant in Australia over England.
Now, the 16 nations will be hoping they will be successful enough to lift the trophy in the Summer and become champions of Europe.
Here is your guide with everything you need to know for the upcoming tournament, from the four groups to our top favourites to win.
European Championships 2025 groups
- Group A: Switzerland, Norway, Iceland & Finland
- Group B: Spain, Portugal, Belgium & Italy
- Group C: Germany, Poland, Denmark & Sweden
- Group D: France, England, Wales & Netherlands
Tough groups to say the least, with exciting fixtures prepared to decide which two teams will advance to the next round.
While every group looks intense, the most noticeable could be said as group D, where England have been placed alongside France and Netherlands. Wales will surely be seen as the underdogs of that group, especially with three such powerhouse teams in their midst. With only two qualifying after the group stage, that means we'll be seeing one of the favourites out rather quickly.
