Manchester City have made their way over to the FA Cup semi-finals after a comfortable win over Aston Villa on the weekend, and are set to meet Manchester United in a bid for the final.

Manchester took on fellow Women's Super League side during the latest FA Cup round over the weekend, beating Aston Villa 2-0 with two-second half goals coming from Khadija 'Bunny' Shaw and Jess Park.

Next up, the Cityzens have been drawn against rivals Manchester United in which will be an exciting Manchester derby to determine who makes it to the final.

The Red Devils confirmed their place after a 3-1 win over Sunderland, while other matches saw Chelsea beat Crystal Place 1-0 and Liverpool knock out Arsenal 1-0.

Man City have already booked themselves in the FA League Cup final, where they will meet Chelsea this upcoming weekend in a bid to bag their first silverware of the season. And that dream is still very much alive in the FA Cup also, with just two matches standing between them and the trophy.

The two clubs have played each other twice this season, the first coming in the WSL where it was United who clinched a 4-2 victory and the other taking place in the League Cup, which Man City won 2-1.

Manchester City will have a big lead-up to the end of the season, as they aim for silverware in three different competitions and also fight to end the Women's Super League in the top three.

Recently, City announced the departure of Gareth Taylor. As they work towards these targets, they hope a change will benefit them in securing them. During the next two months or so, Nick Cushing will be taking over duties, and his first task will be to surpass Chelsea in Sunday's final.
