Manchester City have learned their FA Cup quarter-final fate as the full draw reveals they will take on Aston Villa.
Manchester City qualified for this season's FA Cup quarter-finals after beating fellow Women's Super League side Leicester City 3-1 last weekend.
While Man City haven't been anywhere near the standard they had hoped for when the season started in the WSL, they still have three other trophies they remain in contention for.
They have already booked themselves in the League Cup final against Chelsea after a solid 2-1 win over Arsenal, and have a quarter-final fixture in the UEFA Champions League arriving, which also comes against Chelsea. The FA Cup dream is also still alive and if they are to go all the way, they will need to surpass Aston Villa.
There remain eight clubs left in the competition, all hoping that this year will be the one they get to attain the glorious trophy. The four fixtures have been decided, drawing together all the eight sides which resulted in some exciting upcoming matches.
Full FA Cup Draw
- Manchester City vs Aston Villa
- Arsenal vs Liverpool
- Manchester United vs Sunderland
- Chelsea vs Crystal Palace
The Cityzens have taken on Aston Villa twice already this season, both meetings come in the Women's Super League. The first match ended in a 2-1 win for the Sky Blues and the second time, it was a big 4-2 victory, again for the Sky Blues.
They did well in both fixtures and will need to bring the same type of performance if they are to become FA Cup semi-finalists. While the predicted win will go towards Manchester City, Aston Villa will be a threat and it's safe to say that this won't be an easy match for either club.
The other matches see Chelsea take on Crystal Palace and Manchester United meet Sunderland, both the Blues and Red Devils will be heavily favourited in their respected ties.
And then there is a clash that has the potential to even be a final, as Arsenal and Liverpool battle each other in a bid for a spot in the last four.
The FA Cup quarter-finals start on the 8th and 9th of March.
