Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has given an update on injured players, Erling Haaland, Ederson and Rodri, ahead of their critical match with Nottingham Forest this weekend.

Manchester City prepare for a crucial fixture with Nottingham Forest in the FA Cup semi-final. After already missing out on three trophies, the Cityzens will be determined to claim the FA Cup at the end of the season.

Their opponents in reaching the final are also their rivals in the race for the Premier League top five. Forest have been highly impressive this season, and while they could end the season with a top-five position, the FA Cup trophy might just be the reward they'd have hoped for after their efforts.

It's easy to say that the Sky Blues have been struggling and the best way to end on a happier note would not only be to finish within the top five in the League but also attaining the FA Cup.

Manchester City's woes have been accompanied by many key names absent due to injuries, and they will be looking forward to having them back in their midst.

Ederson and Erling Haaland were recently the latest subjects to injury blows, with Haaland being announced to potentially miss the remainder of the season. Whereas Rodri has been in recovery from a knee injury.

Pep Guardiola gives player updates

Starting off with Ederson, Guardiola said, "Eddie is coming back training a little bit. But I don't know if he'll be ready for this game, hopefully the next one."

He then moved on to Rodri, "Every training session he does with us, he does well. But I don't know. Rodri wants (to play) but the doctor will have to say 'You have the green light to give him minutes'. I want to rely on the doctors in that case."

To finish, he discussed Haaland, "He feels better. I said before, I don't know when (He'll be back). It's not a comfortable injury, still, he doesn't train with the team, but we will see how he does."
