The UEFA Women's Champions League semi-finals were completed over the weekend, as the two legs decided the finalists of this year's final in Lisbon next month.
The Champions League is reaching its' near end as the final two clubs have been confirmed after intense two-legged ties between favourites Barcelona and Women's Super League powerhouse Chelsea, and record title winners Lyon and English giants Arsenal showcased across two weekends.
The first legs of both ties saw teams ending the matches with a lead to take into the return fixtures, pushing them closer to advancing. Whereas their opposition had a different task: to overcome their defeats and make fighting comebacks to achieve their dreams of qualifying for the final.

- Barcelona 4-1 Chelsea
- Arsenal 1-2 Lyon
The Catalan side achieved themselves a massive victory and would have felt quite confident in their chances of making the final. Lyon's scoreline, however, was less comfortable, but they would have been pleased to have gotten the job done.
While Chelsea were completely outplayed by Barcelona and needed a miracle in order to turn their fate around, the Gunners had just one goal deficit to overcome, but, by no means, an easy expectation due to the calibre of Lyon.

- Chelsea 1-4 Barcelona - Barcelona qualify 8-2 on aggregate.
- Lyon 1-4 Arsenal - Arsenal qualify 5-3 on aggregate.
After complete and utter dominance over Chelsea across two legs, Barcelona have reached the anticipated final and will have an opportunity to defend their crown.
Despite a first-leg loss, Arsenal stunned competition veterans Lyon with an incredible four-goal comeback to join Barcelona in Lisbon next month.
The final will take place on Saturday the 24th of May, as two heavyweights go head-to-head for the biggest prize in European football.
