The Women's Super League made its return over the weekend, where 12 clubs began their bid to challenge for the title.
The Women's Super League is back, and everyone was treated to an exciting opening match weekend.
Heading into the first match weekend, clubs would have been certain to get themselves off to a positive start, and while some were unable to do that, there were many that did just that.
Manchester City, who hope to claim victory, took on title holders Chelsea in the very first game of the season. Elsewhere, the champions of Europe Arsenal were the first task for the newly promoted side, London City Lionesses. And, it was quite the clash between rivals Everton and Liverpool, as the Merseyside derby went underway.
Now, the first batch of fixtures have been completed, setting the tone for what should be an unmissable WSL season.

While sides like Chelsea, Manchester United and Arsenal got off to good starts, Everton's 4-1 win over their rivals was the biggest talking point.
For Manchester City and Liverpool they were unable to get what they needed in their first games, and will aim to build going ahead.
The WSL will return again on Friday, the 12th, where two fixtures are scheduled to take place: Manchester City vs Brighton and West ham vs Arsenal. We will see if the Gunners can add to their points and if the Sky Blues can get themselves their first points.
