The UEFA Champions League has its fourth matchday taking place this week, as more massive fixtures will feature crucial results.
The Champions League has its fourth matchday here, where the aim to claim three points will see big matches take place.
Last time, we saw some massive results. Paris Saint-Germain got a 7-2 win over Leverkusen, Bayern Munich with a 4-0 victory against Club Brugge, Barcelona got a 6-1 against Olympiacos, Napoli lost to PSV 6-2, and Chelsea defeated Ajax 5-1.
This time, there are more vital fixtures taking place, including some clashes between some of the biggest clubs.
As we reach the fourth matchday, this means we are halfway through the league phase of the Champions League. The league phase consists of eight matchdays, where clubs compete to end within the top eight to automatically qualify for the next round, while nine to 24 will find themselves having to go through an extra round, and anything lower than that is elimination.
As matches keep coming, the more crucial every result becomes, especially considering how the league phase works and how close every side can be to one another.
Let’s take a look at how the standings look and what games this matchday will have in the Champions League.
